The Art Show er en vandreutstilling som tilpasser seg hvert enkelt utstillingslokale/sted og omgivelsene rundt. Prosjektet består av faste arbeider i tillegg til arbeider som blir laget for stedet. Arbeidene skaper tilsammen en egen verden der alvorlige temaer som forurensing og fugledød vises til på en naivistisk, humoristisk måte. Andre temaer er feminisme, gentrifsering og aktuelle temaer fra tiden vi lever i. The art show på Karlsøya vil vi bruke teknikker som land art, grafitti og performance.
Kunstnerne bak The art show er Inari Virmakoski (Helsinki), Espen Sørli (Oslo) og Anita Hillestad (Nesodden).

Espen Sørli / Jame One – f: 71 :
“Works as an grafitti artist and fine art painter. He has worked as an artist for 30 years and are well known in the grafitti art world. He lives in Oslo – Norway.
Jame One started painting in the streets in the mid 80’s, inspired by the urban writingculture comming out of NYC in the 70’s. Te style is quite “raw” and often with an abstract expressionism touch to it. He has participated in diferent group,- and solo artexhibitons in the country as well as abroad. He is also doing commissioned murals and workshops”.
Inari Virmakoski : – f 42
“I have worked as a Performance Artist since 1995 when I graduated from Art School MAA. I have represented Finland in several International Performance Art Festivals and events around the world, in Asia China Indonesia and Singapore, in Africa Mozambique in South America Chile, Peru, Cuba, Europa Italy, Germany, Poland, Norway, Sweden all Baltic countries, Russia, Belorussia and USA.
Content of my work are global matters, like human rights, peace and war, love and hate, social and environmental issues. Living and working in Africa for 8 years has been influencing my life and art. I also enjoy working with other artists and in community involving and audience participation projects.”
Anita Hillestad -f: 71
“I am an artist based at Nesodden outside Oslo – Norway. I work with artworks using text, installations for Land art and photography. I crochet, use found objects and collaborate with other artists. I have also worked with documentary photo and film. My artworks are inspired by feminism and politics.”
